2007 USATF National Club Ekiden
Championship Three teams representing the Big Sky Distance Project traveled to Denver for the competition.
406 relay teams started along with 443 marathoners at 6 a.m. on a point-to-point ~43K (oops!) through Aurora, Denver and Lakewood (see profile below). Relay runners were required pass a timing chip instead of a baton. The chip had to be scanned on the timing mat at the start, at each exchange zone, and at the finish.
The Montana teams took in $1250 total in prize money in the Ekiden competition, and a few more dollars went the BSDP runner who predicted the results most accurately.
