Montana Cup Scoring (MCS) Program

to simplify MT Cup registration, (timing), scoring, and results.

A Timing Program?

The MCS program was developed to produce scoring and results in conjunction with race timing software produced by Bozeman's Perfect Timing. The Montana Cup has purchased license to use this timing software for each year's meet. Both programs have been loaded on a laptop which may loaned for use by meet hosts.

Can MCS be purchased and used to score a cross country meet other than the Montana Cup?

Yes, but be aware that the Montana Cup has tailored scoring rules that are programmed into MCS, and those rules differ from rules used by many of the sport's governing organizations. Another complication is that MCS does not include it's own timing function. There are alternative methods of transferring race times and places into MCS, but MCS is more efficient and accurate when used with Perfect Timing's complimentary Race Timer software, which must be purchased separately by anyone who is not hosting a Montana Cup.
